Why doesn't a spray can or my wager power painter do a nice finish?
Common consumer tools are meant for spraying the interior or exterior of homes. Coverage, speed and cost are the driving factors of these tools, NOT finish quality. At SprayGunWorld we concentrate on finish quality over all else. This means our guns are for serious cabinet makers and those who want perfect cabinets, ceilings, trim, doors, mantles, shutters, etc. Anything which requires a class A finish.
What about a spray gun from my local hardware store or DIY Center?
Guns found at your local stores are usually from the automotive market. Such guns are not designed for thick enamels and latex paints and products like Rustolum that originated from brush and roller work, not automobile thin paints.
Many do it yourself centers do not carry the tip selection and tools that viscous materials require in order to be sprayed well. Many do it yourself centers don't even know such guns exist and will tell you that your house paint can't be sprayed well. This is simply not true.
WoodSprayGuns.com specializes in wood spray equipment. We have choosen a few winners for you. Those who want a fine finish on any part or fence in your house with thicker house paints and even rustolum. As always, many of our guns come with multiple tip options so you can do other work as well.
Is there anything else I should know?
You will still have to thin your paint by 10%-30% to get greater movement in your paint. We recommend a mixture of water and Floetro or extender for waterbased latex paints. And Penetrol (oil) to it for oil based paints.
